We will miss Dad very much. He was always there for us. He was very kind and generous. I remember when he build our home on Independence and letting me help and how patient he was. I realize now how much I learned from him all those years about patience and persistance in solving problems. He also taught me a lot about life both by his words and example. He was truly a great person and Dad. We will never forget him; he will always be in our hearts and thoughts.

We truly wish with all our hearts that we would have been able to attend his funeral. We were there from April 16-23, but at least we were there when he was still with us and he knew we were there.

Much love, Fred and Lisa

Peg and Pete,

We will miss Frank. He was very helpful and considerate, when I was nineteen and thought to have aortic valve disease. He made a special trip to New Castle to talk to me. I really appreciated it. I don't know if many people realize that he made the trip; however, it made me much more aware of what a special person he was. I'm glad he was my uncle. I just wish I could be more like him.

Pam "Burke" Pfeiffer has been attempting to contact you. She is the daughter of Ken Burke --- Frank's deceased brother. Her e-mail address is as follows: pbj_pfeiffer@yahoo.com. If you have time, please communicate with her. Thank you.

I wish you and your family the best.

I, too, have fond memories of Uncle Frank. I sat in the living room closet just after it was framed. I remember thinking how talented he was to have built a house! Then he and Fred built a stereo. He did many many things for our family of four--with hardly a word--and not wanting praise or reward. I think he blushed when he was thanked. He took me to get glasses when I was about 14 and my grades must have been slipping (don't know whether it was my eyes). He did a lot of tsk-tsking when I wore lipstick before I should have, along with a Roaring Twenties dress. But I always felt that he loved me anyway. Peg and I (was it just me, Peg?) whined and begged when I wanted to spend weekend nights on Independence Road and then meet at church, where I would go home with Mom--or to go home after church to have one of Aunt Marge's delicious Sunday dinners--shared lovingly and generously. To this day I compare hired painters' work to his--none measures up. I was so fortunate that he was my uncle and he'll never be out of my heart.

There are so many fond memories that I have of my Uncle Frank. I remember when he built the house on Independence. He made sure that it was a home filled with love, with doors always open for guests.I remember many profitable discussions around the kitchen table with a lot of brethren on various occassions,There were many holiday gatherings in his and Aunt Marge's loving home. The weding of my mother and step father was held there. My Uncle Frank was such a kind and genorous man. When I was about 12 years old he built a basketball hoop and backboard for me and together he and I installed it on our garage. There were a lot of trips taken with my uncle Frank to Bible Study conventions. One fond memory I have is the time that he flew with me to visit his brother in Indiana.I mean just think he was willing to flywith me in a single engine plane just shortly after I received my pilot's license. There are so many wonderful memories of times spent with my uncle Frank. I truly feel very blessed by the fact that our lives touched. He was a humble man with a great big heart.I feel he was a true example of a christian. He lived his life according to his faith. I feel that he was faithful and that he has passed to his reward to be with my aunt Marge and with His Lord. ! Cor. 15:54-57 Our thoughts and prayers to all of Uncle Frank's family, love Bill & Marilyn

Pete,
In your next blog update, please indicate the address of Hospice. Or, perhaps we should send cards to Frank's home address. Thanks.

My prayers are with you all. Hang tight and know God will bless you in every way. I know sometimes it doesn;t make sense and you can't help but wonder why your dad has to go through this but it's at this very time that you must turn this whole thing over to God and trust Him.

I know it's difficult and easier said than done but don't neglect yourself and the rest of your family. Right now you need eachother for support.

I will pray for the Lord to make perfectly clear to you what will be best for your dad regarding his care and treatment.

God bless

Peg and Pete,

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help out. You have done a tremendous job helping Frank through this difficult period of time. Again, thank you for keeping us informed.
